Thanks, Sam!
Bradford Bulls teenage Great Britain star Sam Burgess won the Sky TV Man of the Match Award for his outstanding performance against Huddersfield Giants at Odsal tonight, a game which the Bulls won 38-12. This season on Sky, each player who receives the Man of the Match Award is given £100 to donate to a charity of their choice, in memory of the late, great Mike Gregory, and on this occasion Sam chose XIII Heroes to receive the money. Speaking just after the final whistle, Sam commented, "I'd just like to say this is something I've really been wanting to win. I'm going to donate it to XIII Heroes, as they helped me a lot with my father so I'd like to donate it to them, thanks, and hope there's a few more to come for them."

All were in good spirits at the airport, showing off their specially designed kit which has been kindly donated by Halbro.
Grand Final Bucket Collection - Thank You!
A big thank you goes out to everyone in the pubs and bars around Old Trafford and outside the ground who contributed to our bucket collection at the Super League Grand Final on 13th October. We raised a fantastic total of £4190 which means we have met our fund raising target to take Matt King and our team of runners to the New York Marathon. The BBC are sending a cameraman and a reporter with us to New York, so you can follow Matt's progress in the Big Apple.
Halbro add support to Matt's Marathon challenge
We would like to thank Bolton based Halbro Sportswear who will be supporting Matt King's entry in the ING New York Marathon on 4th November by supplying kit bags, tracksuits and leisure wear for Matt and the rest of the XIII Heroes team. Matt's progress will also be followed by the BBC who are sending a cameraman and reporter to America with us.
Old Trafford Bucket Collection
With the kind permission of RFL Executive Chairman Richard Lewis, XIII Heroes will be holding a bucket collection at the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford on Saturday 13th October, to raise funds to enable us to take Matt King to the New York Marathon. XIII Heroes, in conjunction with the Christopher Reeve Foundation, has put this amazing world first effort together, and Matt aims to become the first person with this level of injury to not only enter the Marathon, but complete the full course. If you are attending the Grand Final, please look out for one of our buckets and give as generously as you can. Every penny helps. Any amount we collect that is surplus to our fundraising target for Matt will be donated to the Steve Prescott Fund. A gruelling test of endurance and a world first human achievement - both fully deserving of your support.
